Visit Khao Yai Park in French
Khao Yai in French :
Do you love true nature? Just 3 hours from Bangkok, Khao Yai offers fresh air, waterfalls, magnificent hikes and even camping! There’s something for everyone: you can visit Khao Yai by car for a day, or trek for half a day, a day or even several days!
Khao Yai is recognized by UNESCO as one of the world’s most beautiful natural parks. Khao Yai is a Thai national park located some 200 kilometers northeast of Bangkok. It was established in 1962 and is now one of the country’s most popular national parks, attracting visitors from all over the world.
The park covers an area of over 2,000 square kilometers and is dominated by vast rainforest, rugged mountains and spectacular waterfalls. It is also home to a wide variety of animal species, including elephants, monkeys, tigers, bears, deer and numerous birds.
The park is particularly well known for its hiking trails, which offer incredible views of the surrounding forest and mountains. Visitors can also explore the park’s caves and waterfalls, such as the Haew Narok waterfall, which is one of Thailand’s highest waterfalls. It is located in the southern part of the park and is considered one of the highest waterfalls in the country, with a height of over 150 meters. To reach the Haew Narok waterfall, visitors must follow a 3.2 km (one-way) hiking trail through dense, rugged forest. The trail is considered difficult, due to the steep slopes and numerous steps, but it’s well worth it for the spectacular views of the waterfall and surrounding landscape.
In addition to its natural attractions, Khao Yai is also home to several wineries that produce award-winning wines from locally grown grapes. Visitors can visit the vineyards to taste exceptional Thai wines and learn how they are produced.
Khao Yai is also known for its temperate climate, which is quite different from the rest of Thailand. Temperatures are generally cooler and there’s often mist in the morning, giving the park a mystical atmosphere.
Due to its popularity, Khao Yai can get quite crowded at weekends and on public holidays. It is therefore advisable to visit the park on weekdays if possible to avoid the crowds. It’s also important to respect park rules, such as not feeding the animals or leaving garbage in the wild.
In short, Khao Yai is an incredible place for nature lovers and those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. With its panoramic views, hiking trails, spectacular waterfalls and award-winning vineyards, the park offers a unique experience in Thailand and is certainly worth a visit.
